Mama Lil's Pickled Pepper and Grilled Chicken Sandwich
This hearty and flavorful sandwich is perfect for a quick and easy lunch or dinner. The tangy pickled peppers pair perfectly with the juicy grilled chicken.
Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup Mama Lil's Pickled Peppers, sliced
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 whole-grain sandwich buns
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Mama Lil's Peppalilli Mustard or mustard of choice
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Grill the chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- Top each chicken breast with a slice of cheddar cheese and continue to grill for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- Toast the whole-grain sandwich buns.
- Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on each side of the buns.
- Place the grilled chicken breasts on the bottom half of the buns.
- Top the chicken with sliced Mama Lil's Pickled Peppers.
- Close the sandwich with the top half of the bun.
- Serve the sandwich hot with a side salad or sweet potato fries.
