Mama Lil's Pickled Pepper and Smoked Salmon Canapés

These canapés are elegant and flavorful. The smoky salmon pairs perfectly with the tangy pickled peppers. 

Ingredients: 

  • 12 thin slices of bread 
  • 4 ounces smoked salmon, thinly sliced 
  • 1/4 cup Mama Lil's pickled peppers, diced 
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened 
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill 

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 
  2. Using a round cookie cutter or a glass, cut the bread slices into small circles. 
  3. Place the bread circles on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes, until lightly golden. 
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and chopped dill. 
  5. Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each toasted bread circle. 
  6. Top with a slice of smoked salmon. 
  7. Sprinkle the diced pickled peppers over the top of the smoked salmon. 
  8. Serve immediately.
