Mama Lil's Pickled Pepper and Bacon Carbonara

This rich and flavorful pasta dish is perfect for a special occasion or a comforting dinner. The tangy pickled peppers and crispy bacon add a unique twist to the classic carbonara. 


  • 1 pound spaghetti 
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, chopped 
  • 1/2 cup Mama Lil's Pickled Peppers, sliced 
  • 3 egg yolks 
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream 
  • Salt and black pepper to taste 


  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water. 
  2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside. 
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the sliced Mama Lil's Pickled Peppers for 2-3 minutes, or until they are slightly softened. 
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, grated Parmesan cheese, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. 
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti and reserved pasta water to the skillet with the pickled peppers. Toss to combine. 
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat and add the egg yolk mixture. Toss to combine. 
  7. Return the skillet to low heat and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce is thickened and creamy. 
  8. Stir in the chopped bacon and serve the carbonara hot with additional grated Parmesan cheese.
