Mama Lil's Kick Butt Pickled Peppers in oil are a slightly hotter version of our "Original" Mildly Spicy Pickled Peppers in oil.  They're the same complex sweet spicy flavor profile, with the heat kicked up a notch! Just like the original, the 'Kick Butt Peppers' are pickled

Hungarian "Goathorn" wax peppers, packed in a aromatic herb oil blend. 

They have a sweet spicy kick that's hot enough to satisfy the hot pepper fans, yet can still be enjoyed by those who have a more moderate appreciation of spicy foods!  Heat-wise they're somewhere between a medium to hot salsa. And just like the original Mildly Spicy Pickled Peppers in oil, the oil is excellent for cooking and dressings.

How long is the shelf life?

One of the great benefits of our pickled products is that they have an extra long shelf-life of about 4 years (unopened/best by date) and six months to a year (often longer) if opened and refrigerated.  

A few fun pickle facts: For over 3000 years, pickling has been one of the best ways to preserve foods. By soaking in an acidic bath (vinegar), bacteria growth is prevented which in-turn naturally prevents disease and as well as having other great health benefits.
