Mama Lil's Pickled Pepper and Caramelized Onion Tart

This tart features a delicious combination of sweet caramelized onions and tangy Mama Lil's Pickled Peppers, all baked in a buttery crust. 


  • 1 refrigerated pie crust 
  • 2-4 tablespoons butter 
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced 
  • 1/2 cup Mama Lil's Pickled Peppers, sliced 
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese 
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley 


  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. 
  2. Unroll the pie crust and press it into a 9-inch tart pan, trimming off any excess dough. 
  3. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. 
  4. Add the onions to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for 20-25 minutes, or until they are caramelized. 
  5. Add the Mama Lil's Pickled Peppers to the skillet, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the peppers are softened. 
  6. Season the onion and pepper mixture with thyme, salt, and pepper to taste. 
  7. Spread the mixture evenly over the bottom of the tart crust. 
  8. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the onion and pepper mixture. 
  9. Bake the tart for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set. 
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
