Mama Lil's Pickled Pepper and Smoked Gouda Puffs
These puffs are a cheesy and delicious appetizer that's perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/4 cup Mama Lil's pickled peppers, diced
- 4 ounces smoked gouda cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to 1/8 inch thickness.
- Cut the puff pastry into 2-inch squares.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced pickled peppers, grated smoked gouda cheese, chopped thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Spoon a small amount of the filling onto the center of each puff pastry square.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.
- Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and press the edges to seal.
- Place the puff pastries on a baking sheet and brush with the remaining egg.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
- Serve immediately.
